ostension
<logic, philosophy of language> the attempt to provide a non-linguistic definition of a term by pointing at something to which it applies. Although useful enough for some primitive purposes, ostensive definitions are systematically ambiguous, since they poorly discriminate among things and their temporal features. Recommended Reading: Ludwig Wittgenstein, Blue and Brown Books (HarperCollins, 1986); Routledge Philosophy Guidebook to Wittgenstein and the Philosophical Investigations, ed. by Marie McGinn (Routledge, 1997); Ludwig Wittgenstein: Philosophy and Language, ed. by Alice Ambrose and Morris Lazerowitz (St. Augustine, 1996); and William H. Brenner, Wittgenstein\'s Philosophical Investigations (SUNY, 1999).

not for the grading, just to help you

Explanation:
OSTENSION: Definition by displaying or pointing to the thing or quality being defined; giving examples of objects to which a word or phrase is properly applied.

I am not sure , but this word can be rendered as a 示意. Heard this while studying Communication Theory in Taipei...-)

Though I believe it is against KudoZ rules to put questions in such a way.
I am wondering how you are going to grade the answers.

REFERENCES

What constitutes a 'proper' KudoZ question?

Each KudoZ question should include a single term, phrase or sentence of up to 10 words. Context must be included--the more the better! In cases where there is no immediate context, decription of the nature of the overall document or situation should be given.

Beyond that, askers should exercise good judgement. Since a single KudoZ question may be sent to as many as 1000 professionals, it is considered polite to consult dictionaries, the ProZ.com glossaries, etc., before asking a question.

實踐論 存在論

Explanation:
Operationalism: (philosophical doctrine): The doctrine that the meaning of a proposition consists of the operations involved in proving or apllying it.

In word to word's tranlation, 操作論 is much easier to build into any e-dictionary. Most of philosophical theories can apply to different events or inccidents in life. I therefore, do agree with IgorD, few more context or hint might help in applying this doctrine.

Ontology:
Mr. Bin Li is quite right, it's a branch of metaphisics' theory. The famous quote in 形而上学 that I remember is 我思故我在.

Ostension: my finding is same as Mr. Bin Li. But Mr. IgorD's opinion should provide you at least, a direction of finding out the original meaning of this word. (by the way, in pre-law school, Latin language is one of the preparatory of not mandatory course of study). We all know, the root of any word is the clue.
