“龙门板”是早期小型建筑放线的一种装置，是由两根木桩上部横钉一块不太宽木板，呈门形。高度距地面500～600mm左右，作用是标记外墙轴线的。
　　具体操作是这样的：在建筑物基槽开挖前，为了标记墙的轴线位置，在墙轴线的两端不影响基槽开挖的位置上分别设立龙门板，在龙门板上钉铁钉以标记墙的轴线位置，两个铁钉间的连线便是这道墙的轴线。如此将建筑物四面外墙的轴线都标记好。这样，当基槽挖好后可用龙门板上两铁钉间的连线确定墙基础的轴线；基础做完后也可用同样的方法确定墙身的轴线。
