猜想 Explanation: 猜想overnight batch jobs是指紧急的大批量工作,overnight不一定是专指夜间,也有夜以继日的意思。 参见下列网页中关于overnight batch jobs的例句。 Reference: http://www.computerworld.com/news/1997/story/0,11280,20861,0... Reference: http://www.rpls.ws/dra_email_archive.asp |

ノ丁丁┮秈︽уΩ穨 () [芖ノ猭] Explanation: batch - In Taiwan, "уΩ" is a standard translation for "batch" as most techinical people would recognize the term. job - In the hardware/software world, the "job" can be translated as 穨祘, depends on the context. overnight - I went a bit further to explain it as ノ丁丁┮秈︽ since in the following context, it is already explained that these "overnight batch jobs" are not time-sensitive thus make good use of otherwise wasted CPU cycle. Since the more important jobs are mostly done at day time, and leave these repeating, tedious, and time-consuming jobs at night. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 16 hrs 28 mins (2004-10-01 03:22:44 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://libai.math.ncu.edu.tw/bcc16/A/mysql/14.shtml |
