lol, well here in Jordan seesan is used more than katakeet, katakeet can be used when to talking to babies! seesan is in al mawrid if you check it out, its just a matter of different dialects, thanks for the comments

neutral  Hazem Hamdy: Thanks Ziad. I had my own doubts, but I checked it in المعجم الوسيط and Hans Wehr. It's great to learn all these different dialects. صيصان is totally new to me, and sounds cute :-)

Explanation:
True, seesan is commonest in Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon. Katakeet is mainly Egyptian. I'd choose seesan when talking about chicks, but I think chick embryos simply means "chicks in the embryo stage" unless a chick (soos) can carry an embryo. Therefore I think chick embryos would mean embryos that hens carry, which leads to ajennat al djaj.
