English term or phrase: Bone Development
The sentence is

the medicine might interfere with bone development

would نمو العظام be correct? or is that considered growth? the client wants to make sure that it says development and not growth. Is there a different work for development and growth in Arabic in such a meaning? I know there is تطور but not too sure if it is used with bones. Any suggestions would be helpful Thank you so much.

bone development

Explanation:
Bone development= Embryonic bone development ( Ossification) + Postembryonic bone development (bone growth)

http://faculty.stcc.edu/AandP/AP/AP1pages/Units5to9/bone/bon...

Embryonic = المرحلة الجنينية
Postembryonic

So how to translate “bone development” really depends on the context,
1. If it refers generally to bone development which consist of embryonic development and postembryonic development, in this case, it should be translated as “ نمو الغظام ”.

2. If it refers specifically to ossification (embryonic bone development), it should be translated as

3. If it refers to postembryonic bone development after birth, then it means “bone growth”, it should be translated as

Since the asker mentioned that his client had stressed the point that the term “bone development” in the document is different to the term “bone growth”, this suggests that the term “bone development” in that document probably refers to “Embryonic bone development ( Ossification)”, so it should be translated as the second one listed above, which is

or
or
or
