Abdelmonem Samir 08:33 May 9, 2007  so, you can use في حاجة ماسة إلى (in a bad need for) or في أمس الحاجة إلى (desperate to, in most urgent need of or in dire need of) Abdelmonem Samir 08:32 May 9, 2007  as for the meaning of "Amas". It is a superlative form, from the word "massa" which comes with حاجة (Haga) in the expression حاجة ماسة to mean "urgent, pressing or bad (need)". Abdelmonem Samir 08:27 May 9, 2007  They are both spelled, أمس , but yesterday is pronounced "Aams" while the word I used here is pronounced "Amas". in the first word the stress is on the first syllable which is "aa", but in the second, the stress is on the last syllable "s".
