Maisspindel; Spindel Explanation: http://www.nachhaltigwirtschaften.at/(print)/publikationen/f... Die Maispflanze gilt als wichtige Kulturpflanze, die in vielen Gebieten Österreichs angebaut wird. Neben den stärkehaltigen Körnern besitzt die Maispflanze Bestandteile, die sich als nachwachsende Rohstoffe für eine industrielle Verwertung eignen könnten. Die heute am Feld zurückgelassenen Ernterückstände (Blätter, Stängel und Maisspindel) bilden ein qualitäts- und mengenmässig sehr interessantes Potenzial. So blieben zum Beispiel allein in der Steiermark im Jahr 2000 ca. 500.000 Tonnen dieser Maisreststoffe ungenutzt auf den Feldern liegen. |
