Danish term or phrase: aflede et salgsbehov
The context is the opportunities for tourism development. By reaching [n] potential new customers, the initiative will "aflede et salgsbehov på [n] %".
I'm not quite sure what "aflede" means in this context, i.e. whether it is "leading to" or "diverting from" etc.
Many thanks for any help.

In any case, a dictionary translation (to derive, divert, etc.) won't help much here.
