Danish term or phrase: prioritetspant
I'm confused to start with as to the difference between "prioritetslån" and prioritetspant.
Till sikkerhed for prioritetslån er deponert 1. og 2. prioritetspant i kommanditselkabets ejendom og inventar.

preferential security
Explanation:
According to Den Dansk-Engelske Regnskabsordbog:

prioritetslån = mortgage
pant = security

So here I think they're talking about security in the borrower's assets which gives the lender 1st and 2nd preference.

1. og 2. prioritetspant
1st and 2nd priority charge

Explanation:
The prefixed numbers are vital to avoid misreading the priority security as a term of art. Whether the charge (NB the term) is fixed or floating over land and equipment depends on the context.

The ranking of the prioritetslån - mortgage loan(s)/ see Bailey's DA/EN comm. dictionary - is governed by the priority of the underlying pant = security or charges backing them.

Example sentence(s):
  • The rule that the first charge to be registered ranks first in priority over other secured lenders' charges may not apply
