Not quite sure how to translate this. Is it just a long-winded way of saying 'renew/replace'?

Lejer er herunder forpligtet til at ren- og vedligeholde og/eller forny subsidiært udskifte maling, tapet, gulvbelægning, alle indvendige bygningsoverflade ..... and so on.

Asker: Thanks everyone for your input. In the end I translated it as '... clean throroughly, renew and/or replace'. I think that covers all the bases.

disagree  Eva Harbo Andersen (X): Be careful, this is contract: 'Forny' does mean put in something new, whereas 'udskifte' means put in something which is in working order, but not necessarily new. 'Subsidiært' means alternatively or and/or. So I suggest 'renew alternatively replace'
