live wires Explanation: working on electrical panels or installations with live wires. "under spænding" means that there is an electrical current present, or as is commonly said, the wire are "live" or "hot". A very dangerous thing to do, but commonly done by qualified electricians who know what not to touch, and how to take precautions; i.e. insulated tools, gloves, long sleeves, standing on a thick rubber mat, etc. |
