This has to do with the newest EU environmental requirements with a relevance to the R&D of a medical device. I've checked the EU-texts in Danish, German and English, and was surprised to see how far the same text differs in those three languages. Another source revealed that Danish speakers are using the term "støjniveau" to mean "emissions". So does "støjgrænseniveau" mean "emission range"? (Logic: grænse = limits, i.e. span from min. to max, or range)

I would say noise limit (level)

Looking up støjgrænse in euro dictum says also noise limit, (noise) danger level and (radio) limit of interference.

I don't know about using the term to mean emissions, only noise related, but I'm not native to Denmark.

Putting the Danish sentance would help to put it in context.

Asker: Hi again. I'm sorry but there are simply no full sentences or anything similar that I can give you. That's also what makes this particularly difficult. This term probably refers here more to the radio interference (although it couldn't be much), or maybe electronic smog. But that is guessing too far. Right now I'm trying to think in the direction that "grænseniveau" could be one term, with "støj" as the object of that "limit level". I do think that "støj" here means "disturbance", ie "emission", in the sense of "electronic noise". To translate it directly would be to say "level of noise limits" - maybe that's the safest. Thank you again - this so helpful! I hope that I can help you some time the same way.
