SERVICE IN… KM.. TAGE Perform service in ..................miles Explanation: my suggestion. I beleive the text in Danish means that the service should be performed within a certain amount of km. The km should probably then be translated to miles. Tage means take if directly translated. My car has a text that reads "perform service in ......miles" |

SERVICE IN… KM.. TAGE service in XXX km or XXX days Explanation: (Service in ... KM ...) This sentence is in English and "could" mean that the vehicle should be serviced after XXX kilometres. While the word 'tage' is Danish for 'to take', I'm inclined towards believing that a linguistic mix-up has occurred and that the German word 'tage' which means days, has been substituted for the correct word 'days'. i.e., the vehicle should be serviced after XXX km. or XXX days. A further mix-up seems to be that the sentence reads, (service in ...KM ....) where is should read, (service after ...km ...)KM should be km. In any case, there's something rotten... :-/ -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs 21 mins (2005-08-28 16:34:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I wish to change my confidence level from three to five, but am unable to figure out how. Please consider the my confidence level changed to five. Thanks, Nanna |
