Christmas decorations

Explanation:
In this case, the closest I think you can get is "When making Christmas decorations, it's important to have a good glue" "a good glue is essential when making Christmas decorations", or something along those lines.

Good luck.

Christmas paper chains

Explanation:
are another possibility, and still popular in the UK.

We made a lot of them as children, also the kind called 'musetrapper' in Danish (known as paper snakes or just another kind of chain).

http://www.vickihodge.com/papersnake.htm

The fun with those was to change colours at intervals, and if the glue was too wet, they fell apart!

We also made a type with stars stuck together at the tips, but these often needed a string through the middle as well as glue.

I think 'juleklip' is a very Danish pastime! The hearts and 'nisser' in the windows are not nearly so common in the UK.

The nearest you can get is papercraft, which wil include do-it-yourself cards etc. that also need glue
