fattening unit Explanation: fattening unit This is actually given in Vinterberg & Bodelsen under 'slagtesvinestald' It is the unit/sty/ area with pens/ for pigs after weaning until they are ready for slaughter. http://www.antecint.co.uk/main/pigresp2.htm The trials lasted 45 days in the growing unit - one complete cycle - and 60 days in the fattening unit.
