I just popped in to look at some terms and came across the sentence again, and it dawned on me that \"rightly so\" could fit nicely somewhere in there (perhaps enclosed in brackets or hyphens), conveying the idea given in Catalan. Ex.:
The Commission - rightly so - has entrusted blah, blah, blah...
