Thanks. I think courageous sounds better in this context. Also, I didn't have a problem with "we" - as in humanity collectively. For example: Hopefully we will address global warming in time to prevent a catastrophe.

agree  Etienne Muylle Wallace: I agree, but not with the WE-form: it is obvious the thgird person, referring to the people, state leaders etc who will attend the Copenhagen conference.
