while Explanation: It's not just you, Berni; "per bé que" means "although", which makes no sense here. I would say the author is using it to mean something like "while", which can also be concessive. There's some kind of underlying connection, but I can't work it out at the moment. Hope you don't have too much of that sludge. Francis Bacon, is it? |
