Margarita, the financial world sees companies as divided into two types: financial (essentially, but not exclusively, banks) and others. The former are "institutions". The latter are "corporates". This is a basic expression of an informal "world view" in the financial community, yet is used apace in formal publications (please refer to the Bulgarian National Bank's reports and bulletins, or indeed those of the Bank of England or the Bundesbank).
So, while not denying the answers provided, I would suggest your term is "corporates". I would beware of "non-financial institutions" for two reasons: first, an apparent contradiciton in terms; second, "institution" has a broad range of meanings in English (as does the Bulgarian "институция"), yet the two ranges generally fail to overlap and the potential mismatch is most often comical. |
