It’s a passage on how Moroccan Thami met his wife: “It was at the annual moussem of Moulay Abdeslam, where serious men go for the good of their souls, that Thami had met Kinza, among the tents of fanatical pilgrims…”

In fact, my question concerns two things: what is “moussem” and what does the title “Moulay” actually refer to – mullah, a kind of spiritual title, leader of religious order? And pls can you add the Arabics of both?
