المفروض ان يكون المدعي العام هو الرجل الاول في السلم الوظيفي في المحافظة او اللواء وليس المحافظ او المتصرف او مدير الشرطة!! وما يحدث الان ان اي وكيل في مركز امني له من الصلاحيات والقدرة على تحريك الامور بفاعلية اكثر مما يستطيعه المدعي العام الذي من اسمه يتبين انه يمثل الحق العام اي يمثل حق الشعب, وفي المملكة المغربية يسمونه وكيل الملك باعتبار ان الملك مكلف بحفظ الدولة والملكيات العامة والخاصة وينوب عنه المدعي العام ولذلك اسموه »وكيل الملك«.

وعلى ذلك فإن نائب وكيل الملك هي نائب المدعي العام، وهذا التعبير يترجم كما هو مذكور أعلاه. هناك تنويعات أضعف للتعبير مثل
