IV repletion Explanation: SRTP refers to "Sueroterapia", basically rehydration therapy through an IV. PC refers to "percutáneo", which translates to percutaneous. So it could translate as "IV repletion with 2,000 ml saline with 10 Meq of..." I don't have any sources for this because it is something that is written on patients' charts. Nurses and doctors tend to use shortened terms to save writting time. I apologize on behalf of the doctors, I have done so myself in the past, but in the long run it complicates things for others. Many times health staff came up with their own original acronyms or shortened words which is even worse. |
