Appelants partial objection

Explanation:
I have seen that in a legal context "adhesivo" can mean partial and there is such a thing as a partial appeal.

Example sentence(s):
  • This opposition to the appelant´s motion for judicial notice is based on the attached supporting points.

joint claimants/plaintiffs

Explanation:
You don't say which country this is from and whether you are translating for UK or US which would be helpful.

I am putting a low confidence level as I am not sure of the correct wording but as I understand it one person has brought the "recurso de amparo" (quejosa y recurrente) but these other claimants/plaintiffs (recurrentes adhesivos) are also affected by the alleged violation of rights and so have joined the appeal.

recurrente adj mf (que acude por ayuda) (formal) appellant, claimant, petitioner n

4. prnl. Der. Dicho de una persona: Sumarse al recurso formulado por otra.

Under the current Spanish Constitution of 1978, a writ of amparo may be filed by any natural or legal person, domestic or foreign, as well by the Public Prosecutor and the Ombudsman, at the Constitutional Court. Its function is to protect the rights enshrined in the constitution-the fundamental rights contained in the Preliminary Title and First Section of Chapter II of Title I, to protect rights recognized in the Articles 14 to 29 of the Constitution and as well as conscientious objection to military service under Article 30.

I suspect that complainant is used as it is a complaint against the administration rather than an appeal against a prior decision by a court.

agree  philgoddard: There may be a more precise English term, but this is the idea.

-> Thanks Phil. Hence my low confidence level. I understand the idea just not sure of the correct wording.

neutral  AllegroTrans: I think in an "amapro" the parties probably need to be referred to appellants and respondents

-> I suspect you are right but can't find any examples, I can only find examples of claimants.

GLOSSARY ENTRY (DERIVED FROM QUESTION BELOW)
Spanish term or phrase: recurso de revisión adhesiva
English translation: joinder of appeal/joined application for judicial review/ on a point of law

I am not 100% in agreement with this entry from our learned colleague (R.I.P.), but the idea is:
http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/law_general/183...

http://www.btb.termiumplus.gc.ca/tpv2alpha/alpha-eng.html?la...

The first party to file is called the petitioner or appellant, and its request for review is an appeal. If an opposing party (called the respondent or appellee) also wishes to request review of a lower court's decision, that request is called a cross-appeal.

agree  philgoddard: This is very helpful. When you say "RIP", you do mean no longer on ProZ rather than gone to meet his maker?
