working analysis of a special lottery draw

Explanation:
Basically your own proposal, but with "lottery" instead of raffle, which for obscure reason sounds less formal and professional to me, probably by association with churchy orgs like the scouts which I used to sell raffle tickets for back in the day...

Hmm... I've just tried to find a definition of "working analysis", which I so glibly used, but can't seem to find one. I know what I meant anyway...

agree  Paul Brown: Right! I prefer special lottery draw. Just to let you know, I had afterwards changed my answer to 'special prize draw' - @Charles - Therefore my answer of 'operational analysis of special prize draw', what was wrong with that?
2 mins
  -> Nothing at all. Although I do take issue with your use of "impulse" as a verb ;)

agree  Charles Davis: No need to add "lottery"; it's redundant, because the line begins "lotteries" anyway. Nothing to do with raffles, no. It's a special draw, that's the standard lottery term. I think "operational analysis" is probably OK, but it must be "special draw".
3 mins
  -> Cheers CD ;)

agree  James A. Walsh: "Special draw" all the way.

neutral  Andrew Bramhall: Raffles are for items and goods not money, and 'special' implies a better prize or prizes; this is about unusual trends fostered by 'drivers';
12 mins
  -> Special as in it doesn't happen often and raffle, maybe better to just say a 'prize draw'

agree  neilmac: OK with "special prize draw"... (raffle reminds me of church fetes and tombolas)...
1 hr
  -> hahah I agree! It's the 'unusual purchase trends' that has confused me a lot.

agree  Charles Davis: Paul: OK, you did change it. "Special prize draw" is much better, though it's really a special draw, not a special prize draw (the draw is special, i.e. additional to the regular ones, not the prize or prizes). // I think it's wrong, frankly.
1 hr
  -> Okay, thanks, and what about Oliver's idea of unusual purchase trends? This has confused me and I think we have two completely different ideas.

agree  James A. Walsh: "Special draw" all the way.// Yes I fully agree (now that I've taken the time to look both terms up). Thanks for pointing that out, Paul ;)
2 hrs
  -> Thanks James. I am with 'operational analysis' as I personally think google has a lot more relevant results than for 'working analysis'
