In praise of Explanation: This is rather free, I admit, and I suggest it mainly because I think it would work well as a title. Perhaps I'm influenced here by the "In praise of..." editorial feature in the Guardian, which it designed to draw attention to the sometimes neglected merits of this or that person or thing. There are certainly alternatives: "Due credit to...", "Due recognition for...", or even (less seriously) "Let's hear it for...". But "In praise of Don Hipólito" might perhaps capture the tone of this kind of discussion comment. |
