Buenos días. Últimamente me he estado preguntando cómo decir "It feels good." o "It felt good.". Quiero decirlo después de haber hecho ejercicio. Por ejemplo, ayer anduve en bicicleta y corrí después. Cuando llegué a casa quería decirle a mi compañera del departamento, "Today I went on a run. It was hard, but it felt good." Dije "Hoy corrí. Fue difícil, pero se sintió bien." Esa no parecía ser la mejor traducción para ella. Sé que se puede decir "valía la pena" o algo así, pero ¿hay alguna forma con "sentir" aparte de "Me sentí bien."? ¡Gracias!

Sí, es verdad yo te puedo hablar por lo que sé. Podrías decir: Me hizo bien;corrí, anduvew en bicicleta y luego me sentí bien o me sentí mejor. Son todas probabilidades.

Hola, aquí tengo una lista de "modismos" y sentar bien o mal algo, es caer bien o mal una cosa en el estómago // que una cosa quede bien o mal cuando se usa.

The problem with "se siente bien" is that it is not clear. Literally, it is a good translation, but you run the risk of confusion because it also sounds like he/she feels good. I tried saying this here in Chile and I was corrected immediately. When I explained that I was talking about the feeling and that I did not want to say "Me sentí bien.", the Chilean woman still said it sounded bad. Look what I wrote in your text box.

IMO-"me sentó bien" means "it did me good" or "it was good for me". When something feels good-se SIENTE bien" whether it's good for you or not. IT FELT GOOD = QUE BIEN SE SINTIÓ

Edward is simply wrong about sentar. He just didn't know that it could be used for things other than clothes. But Margaret, no need to write your message to me. Write it in your own text box. You guys talk about "the Oxford" as if it were complete and flawless. As far as the translation "me hizo bien" goes, I actually think it sounds great. It would be very common here in Chile, probably much more common than "Me sentó bien." I'm not sure which answer to pick though. I'll have to sleep on it. "Me encontré bien" sounds nice too, maybe a little formal.

hfp, for a start, to we're talking of the past, is very correct and not at all "very formal" in UK. Secondly, the Oxford dictionary is a highly prestigious mono and bilingual dictionary worldwide, for it also includes American English and offers a large range of formal and less formal terms. Thirdly, as mentioned above, I did not use the dictionary to send my version. Anf fourthly, sorry, but I now give up! I've spent too much time on this one! Kindest!

In addition, you wrote "is very correct" without even correctly writing a noun and a verb in the sentence, but you can keep writing like a foreigner if you want. That's your decision. Read more carefully before commenting next time. By the way, you should say in "the UK" not "in UK".
