Spanish term or phrase: crítica de arte
I know this is a silly question but I can't decide between "artistic review" or "artistic criticism", since I think they don't have the same meaning. Can anybody explain me the difference and when should I use one or the other?

TIA

art review/critique
Explanation:
I would not use the choices you offer, but rather "art review" or "art critique". Why? "Artistic" is an adj. and means "done in an artistic manner not "a critique of a work of art (arte). I would also avoid "criticism" which means not an evaluation of something but "disapproval" of it. Hope that helps you!

Just to respond again to Sophia: I agree it is a field or discipline, and I believe the asker is talking about reviewing a work of art. In that case (and I think Robert agrees) you wouldn't say, "She published an art criticism of the painting"--rather "she published a critique of the painting" or "an art review of the painting". But anyway, I won't fall on my sword over this...if I'm wrong, I'm wrong ...

Thanks, Sophia... Perhaps our "asker" will return and give us a sentence or two??

critica de arte
art criticism

Explanation:
If you are talking in the general sense about written evaluation of artists and works of art, then this would work fine.

But, as Henry would say, without more CONTEXT, it is hard to say what would fit here....

agree  Patricia Rosas: I was hasty in what i posted, and (another Henry moment) without more CONTEXT we can't be sure what's best!

Thank you, Patricia.

agree  Sophia Hundt (X): I apologize for my comment and take it back, since I didn't pay careful attention to Jennifer's note - you are correct, critique is indeed a term I would use when it comes to reviewing a specific work of art. Depends on what the full sentence is.

review of the [name of the painting] by [name of the artist] (in support of Patricia's answer)

Explanation:
Based on the explanation you provided, 'art criticism' is not the term to use here. I would, therefore, go with Patricia's suggestion to use "review", but instead of saying "art" I would include the title of the painting:

"Review of the "Starry Night" by Van Gogh."
