What is the gain with an empty slogan?

I am a bit surprised by the many insignificant slogans many of us have chosen.
For example, like:

"I am fast and accurate"

"I do my best"

"I am the best translator in Canada" (Are you sure?

"I am cheap but good"

... isn't that more like flummery?

Why not instead write:

"I have 15 years' experience of translation"

"Most i... See more

"Most important for me is to write in an attractive language style"

Den som yttrar sådant får ofta inte ens en chans att försöka bevisa att påståendet är sant då läsaren knappast blir imponerad nog att göra ett försök med skrytmånsen.

Det som förvånar är att det används ibland skojiga slogan. Men för mig jag tolkar och inte översätter det behövs ej sådan slogan.

den nya från VW kan man ju ändra till - "der Übersetzer"
