Trying to add the Twitter accounts posted by Anne, apparently I am now "over-following" and need to wait. I will try again tomorrow.

Thanks for the posts, let's keep it going!

Following as well Aug 4, 2011

We're following you now as well (and you Suzanne) with our company's English Twitter account GxP Services.

Again, don't feel obliged to follow me on my personal account - I rarely tweet there about translation or languages

CheerZ all!

Anne

Sometimes language related... Aug 4, 2011

I tried having a "professional" twitter account along with my personal twitter, but it felt too artificial. Now I use just @jennmercerFE for all of my obsessions from translation to knitting. I find the camaraderie of my fellow translators to be just as important as the language tips I receive.

Any More Tweeters? Feb 24, 2012

It would be great to see if there are anymore Tweeters out there who tweet about translation and interpretation. Please do continue to post your Twitter usernames so that we can follow each other.

Thanks,

... another Twitter user Feb 24, 2012

I tweet about translation, language and medicine, mostly in English and sometimes in Spanish. The odd tweet about music, dogs or sport also slip through occasionally!

I love the directness of interactions on Twitter and the way you can jump in on conversations that catch your eye. Funny ones are great too.
I hate the general "Have a great week, Tweeters" messages and #FF greetings.

Heh. I just got a twitter account and was almost immediately followed by a large-breasted eastern-European girl who is following about 700 people and only being followed by 4.

Bad marketing, I call it

Over-Following Part II Mar 7, 2012

Hi Paul,

"Over-following" is definitely bad Twitter marketing. I didn't start out perfectly on Twitter, I had lots of stops and starts. I actually did not believe I was over-following because there wasn't a significant difference in numbers between who I was following and who was following me. At any rate, the situation has been remedied. What is your Twitter handle?

Suzanne
