How do I call someone to a topic from a comment?

Is there a way to call a specific user to a topic from a comment in that topic? I tried adding "@" in front of the user name, but that doesn't work.

Have you tried sending a message to the person in question, with a link to the topic?

Yeah, I know I can do that. Just hoped for a special shortcut like the one that exists on Facebook.
