I am translating this word to Japanese. Japanese has a tendency to adapt the orininal language's pronunciation.

It is a place name.I don´t know Japanese,but do they translate names?
Anyway,it is a small township with 7200 inhabitants in the west of norway.In Møre og Romsdal county,near Ålesund.
