I received from an agency a TM with the above extensions. I am not familiar with the extension. Can I import them into Wordfast?

Translation Memory Feb 25, 2003

You\'ve received Trados translation memory. You need an exported .txt file from the agency, so that you can import it into Wordfast.

I imported the .tmw but what about the rest? Feb 26, 2003

Importing the tmw was easy but I can\'t import the rest.



Any ideas?

Hi Ann,



Wordfast only needs the the TMW file, that\'s the actual TM. All other files are index files and stuff. See for yourself. When you open a TMW in Wordfast. Wordfast will convert it to a TM in TXT format. When you want to sent your client a Trados compatible TM after you\'ve finished, you can export it in TMX format (1 file) or in Trados format (5 files)
