Is it possible to \"print screen\" in Word?

It was easy in WP/DOS.

Let\'s say I unzip a large file and wind up with 15 individual files on the screen. How can I print this list or save it in printable form? (I use Win 98, Word 97).

Any suggestions welcome!

Trudy

copy-paste Dec 18, 2002

What you could do is select all the files in you list (in the window) by pressing Ctrl-A, copy the list (Ctrl-c), and paste it into a Word document (Ctrl-v).

Hope that helps.

When you want to \'photograph\' a screen, just press the \'Print Screen\' key, open a Word file, and Paste.

Capturing the active window Dec 18, 2002

Adding to the pile of useful suggestions:

Pressing <Alt><PrintScreen> will paste to current \"paste\" memory the current active window that\'s on-screen, whether the current window is in in-between mode or in maximised mode.

Cheungmo is right Dec 18, 2002

i.e. the same method as with any screen:

ALT+PRINT SCREEN

and

then

with

CTRL+V

paste it into the then active document, provided that that document accepts pictures (WORD, other word processors and all picture programs like Paint Shop Pro etc)

There is a nifty little freeware program called Screenhunter.

Using it (quite easy), you can capture any part of the computer screen you like, including active windows, whole screens etc.

You just outline a rectangle around the part of the screen you need.

You can save the captured picture in a few formats (JPG, GIF, BMP).

Thanks to everybody for your helpful suggestions.

I didn\'t know that Print Screen works like Ctr-C, and never thought of copying and pasting!

I learned something new!
