Whenever I go on the internet the font of letters is bolder than usual. It is causing me eyestrain. Adjusting the screen (monitor) does not make any difference and I do not have this problem in my other software applications (Word, Excel, etc). Does anyone know what may have caused this and what I can do about it?

Also in about all Windows applications you can change the font size by holding down Ctrl and scrolling your mouse wheel.

Not size but brightness
Dec 15, 2006
It is not the font size I have problems with but the brightness, i.e. the letters on web pages all seem a lot brighter and bolder than yesterday (this was also noted by my family members) and adjustment of the monitor settings does not make any difference. It is very difficult to explain without you being able to see what it looks like!
