Hi, I received some translation work but the problem is that the object to be translated is a brochure... and it's a drawing in MS Word... so how do I count the number of words? I thought OCR would work but it doesn't (don't understand why)... do I actually need to print & scan it and then perform an OCR... or is there a simpler way out. Thank you for your help. Ritu

May be it is not simple, but it is a fast way

Generally the way that you described is the most common way - may be it does not seem simple (although is ti complicated to print, scan and do OCR?), but it is fast one.
If you want to do a work around, I can describe you another way, but it is really complicated:
1. Do a Print Screen of the screen, when the document is on it. 2. Paste it in Photoshop and make its resolution 300 dpi. 3. Save the file. 4. Load the file in the OCR program and do the OCR... See more

If the pictiren object is more than one screen, you will have to scroll it and to repeatedly step 1 to 4.
