Has anyone else tried PDFmeld, Fytek's PDF editor? I have been testing it (the Linux version, but Mac and Windows versions are also available) and found it very good, but I'm unable to make sense of Fytek's pricing system.

A fully functional demo available at http://www.fytek.com.

What's wrong with the pricing? You pay 15 USDs for the full application.

That's for the Single User Windows license. I haven't yet been able to establish whether there's an equivalent Linux license, and I've been quoted 350 (three hundred and fifty) USD for a Linux server license.
