Is there any tool with placeables support to import text variables (figures, links, numbers, trademarks etc) AS TAGS?
WFC does that. If you mark the placeables as tw4winInternal style in the original DOC files, and then "extract" the text of each of the DOC files, the extracted texts will have tags instead of placeables. If you use WFC's alignment tool, "PlusTools", the tags will also end up in the TM, and if you use a TMX converter that understands WFC's tags, it'll convert it into actual TMX tags. PlusTools can align DOC files directly, without the need to create tagged "extracted" files, but then it won't convert the styled text into tags. So if you want tags in your TM, you have to "extract" text from the styled DOC files, and then align the two extraction files.
I just tried it with Trados 2019, and it works. So, you have to have the files in Word, then create a style called "tw4winInternal" and apply that style to the placeables, and then align those files in Trados (no need to do the "extraction" step that is required in WFC).
I have 2 aligned manually simple text files with a lot of information, that I like replace with tags directly or with symbols, which alignment tool replaces with tags.
I can easy replace this information with any tags/symbols in any regex supported tool.
The only way I see now - direct replacement in TMX in text editor.
