Brazilian Portuguese keyboard giving problems

It is not typing the Brazilian Portuguese special characters as it should. I have already deleted and reinstalled it but the problem persists. All of a sudden without explanation. It takes ages to open WORD and use insert.special characters. Anyone knows what it could be? Tks!

I use "United States-Interntional" Jan 19, 2013

Select in the list "United States-International" instead of "Portuguese". It will allow you to type both languages with no problem.

What do you mean exactly by "to delete & reinstall"? Do you use Windows, MacOS, Linux, ...?

It's a software problem anyway, because all keyboards are identical except for the inscriptions on the keys. Probably it's just a lost setting that can easily be restored.

It was transcribe express that was giving probs. I deleted it and now it is working well again. Tks all of you! Helena
