Dear all,
It all started this morning when I was unable to export my translation from MemoQ 4.2 into an Excel file. I only purchased MemoQ about a week ago, used the trial version first and worked on a considerably larger Excel file without the hint of a problem.

Dear all,
It all started this morning when I was unable to export my translation from MemoQ 4.2 into an Excel file. I only purchased MemoQ about a week ago, used the trial version first and worked on a considerably larger Excel file without the hint of a problem.
I got some advise in the MemoQ forum and installed all Windows updates, still nothing happened. I tried to restore the system and set it back to an earlier date when it was working hassle-free. The problem persisted. I deleted MemoQ and tried to re-install it and now I can't even start MemoQ anymore since I immediately get the error message "MemoQ has encountered an error and needs to be closed". There is also another software which I can't run anymore.
In addition, shortly after starting the computer I get the mysterious error message "Tray has encountered a problem...". I have never ever seen this before and I have no idea what it might be referring to or where it comes from. However, I suspect that it may have something to do with not being able to start MemoQ or the other software I mentioned. There seems to be no problem with Wordfast though.
Now the only solution I can think of is to absolutely wipe out everything but I would hate do that - it takes so much time to make back-ups of everything and get the system back to the current set-up. So any ideas what to do would be highly appreciated.
BTW, I'm one of those dinosaurs how still use Windows XP and MS Office XP. ▲ Collapse
