Dear all,

i have encountered a problem while trying to export a finished FrameMaker file into PDF.
There are several words marked in red to avoid their being translated. And there again, how can i turn these restrictions into normal black before turning the text into PDF? Is there any option for doing that?

Thanks,

Maria

PDF should accept coloured text too Sep 25, 2003

But nevertheless, if red is used only to mark words not to be translated and the whole other text is black, so you should be able to change the colour of the whole text in quite easily way.
Click somwhere in document and press CTRL+A. The whole text should be selected. Then press CTRL+D. The character designer should appear. For the text colour select black and click "Apply to selection". Afterwards the whole text will be black.

ok, but also... Sep 26, 2003

Jerzy,

thanks for your hint, i am afraid that it is a bit more complicated than that, because the red text is covered by a line and protected from being modified. There must be a special option for unprotecting the word and removing the line covering the word!

The text may have a Conditional Text tag applied to it.
Check Special > Conditional Text.
For info on applying/removing conditional text tags, see the Help. I paste below the bit about removing conditional text tags:
