I wonder if it's possible to password protect some files from "My Documents" working with Windows XP. I am going to have 2 months holidays and let some friend of mine use my laptop, but I wanted to protect some private files. Any ideas? Thank you!

Hi, first, open the file, then go to tools, choose options. From there go to security, make a password and retype it. and that is it.

Yes, it is possible.

Go to "Save As". There is a "Tools" menu on this page. Click on it, it brings up various headings including "General Options". Click on this to bring up a page which gives you the option of entering a password.
Mueen, I've now tried your method too, and it works just as well as mine.
