Hello

I have received two zip files and when I open them they contain the text I am to translate plus a load of unnecessary hieroglyphics.

I would like to save the file as a word document with only the actual text I have to translate.

Does anybody know how to do this as this is the first time I have been sent zip files.

Thank you!

Liz Askew

Unzip first Apr 23, 2009

If you work with Office 2007, you can open a zip file but can't work on it.

You must unzip the file first: click the right mouse button, choose "Extract to ..." function, afterwards you will find a normal word file in the target folder, which you can handle as any word file.

ZIP is a "container" for compressed files.

Um... Don't know what seems to be the problem exactly, but you must unzip the file first. You can use WinZip or WinRar software to do that. After you extract the file to a place that you specified prior to extraction go to it and it will be the file with the text to be translated.

You can get WinRar here: http://www.rarsoft.com/ - hope it helps...

Winrar or 7-zip needed. Apr 23, 2009

You should unzip the file first either with Winrar or with 7-zip.
You can download 7-zip from its official website:
