My Gmail has been off the air all day, stating "Temporary Error (502). Is it just me, or a more general problem?

I finally found this message online:
The Gmail Team is currently aware of a subset of users being affected
by the 502 error on login. Our engineers are actively investigating
the issue, and we will provide updates as soon as we have them. We

It doesn't help you fix it, but at least lets you know you're not alone and might indicate when it's hoped to be fixed...

Actually, I think that's the address I stumbled across that gave me the bad news...speaking of which, it's nearly 11p.m. here and still no Gmail....grrrrrrr, arrggghhhhh.....

Apparently there were problems all over the world in certain areas. Makes me nervous about using Gmail as my business e-mail, hmmmm.

this evening I seem to be unable to get either Yahoo or Google. Am I the only one? I cannot get any of the pages related to either browser (gmail or the goups.google that someone has suggested).
Awaiting good news (or of any kind, for that matters)...
