Thanks to everyone who contributed, especially Emma for the excellent article and tip on exporting your Studio profile; it saved a lot of time and worked perfectly, thanks.

Here are a few other things I found that can save a LOT of time when switching to a new system.

If you use a Microsoft account you can turn on “Sync settings” on your old system then log into your new system with the same account and almost all the system’s settings will be the same on both computers.

You can use the Backup/File history functions in Windows to transfer all your files. It’s a bit fiddly, but saves a huge amount of time.

If you use Thunderbird, you can export/import ALL your settings, mails, calendar, events, and set up all your mail accounts with just a few clicks.

On a side note.
If anyone is wondering about the difference SSD speed and 2-core/4-core makes, apart from the different SSDs and the old one having a 2-core i5 with a 4-core i5 in the new one, this computer and the old one are basically the same system and cost the same price too. They both have 16 GB RAM. DDR3 in the old one, DDR4 in the new one, supposed to be about the same performance, some even say DDR3 is better.
Anyway the new system is much faster than the old one. Start-up for example on the old one was about 30 seconds, it’s half that on the new one.
I reckon, slightly faster 4-core CPU, much faster SSD; so, your choice of SSD can slow your system down.

Here’s a comparison of the SSD specs.

Here’s a comparison of the 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 6200U with 2-cores, against the 1.6 GHz i5 10210U with 4-cores.

The export-import profile function definitely works in Studio 2021. But since you get an error, I suggest you try SDL Community. It's the best place for troubleshooting.

Thank you Emma. I know about the community. I use their help for years now and recommend others to do the same. And I asked this question of course. They told that a faster way is just to re-assign all shortcuts manually.
