Report from  Karl Archbold (X)
February 26 2007
The Philadelphia Powwow was great even we have a very bad weather.(We were caught by a very bad snow storm) We enjoyed a lot and the food in the Chinese restaurant was very good.

We have a total of 11 translators and interpreters of different countries.Translators of countries such as Spain, Georgia, Germany,Palestine and different American translators. We have also translators of more than 12 languages.

I was surprised that some translators traveled far away from Philadelphia to attend our meeting. One of our translators came from Virginia. Another one traveled from New York and the other one traveled from Allentown PA.

Our conversations in the meeting involved the translation business development, usage of translation softwares, strategies how to deal with dishonest translation companies and different technics to improve the translation work. our meeting lasted for almost 3 hours and half.

I hope that everyone that attended this meeting enjoyed. We will meet again soon.

Hi everybody;

I would love to say that I enjoyed seeing all of you in Philly and although my winshield wipers went off in that dark rainy night and I drove long to my city, I still enjoyed it and hope to see you again and again in other occasions like this. I also hope you all have enjoyed it as well. I just hope to have the meeting a little longer which means, to start it a little earlier. Thank you all for for coming and keep in touch.

Feb 25 '07  Rutie Eckdish: Appologies
Despite all my planning and preparations, the weather does not cooperate: with 80% ICE forecast after 6PM in the Washington area, I dont feel comfortable driving in "black Ice". I know from first hand experience just how dangerous it can be - no matter how good a driver I am.
How about another POWWOW soon - and in better season?
