Texto de origen - español Con carácter general, se pueden definir tres grandes actividades productivas dentro de la industria automotriz:
Ensambladores de vehículos: estas empresas tienen como actividad principal el montaje, es decir, obtienen el producto final a partir de ensamblar o montar los sistemas, módulos, piezas y componentes que sus proveedoras les sirven.
Ensambladores de módulos y sistemas: estas empresas se dedican a montar diferentes módulos o equipos para los fabricantes de automóviles. Obtienen los módulos a partir de las piezas y componentes que les facilitan sus proveedores.
Estas empresas suelen proveer a la empresa matriz en entregas secuenciadas o "justo a tiempo", y se sitúan, normalmente, cerca de la fábrica automotriz, que suele ser su único cliente.
Proveedores de piezas y componentes, maquinaria e instalaciones: un grupo importante de empresas fabrican piezas y componentes para el vehículo, ya sea directamente como proveedores de las fabricantes o indirectamente como suministradores de las ensambladoras de componentes o de módulos.
Existe otro conjunto de compañías dedicadas a proveer, no de componentes y módulos para la fabricación del vehículo, sino de elementos de las instalaciones necesarias para fabricar el vehículo o los equipos.
En el siguiente gráfico se representa la industria del automóvil, la cual se asemeja a una tela de araña, donde en el centro estarían los ensambladores de vehículos, a su alrededor los montadores de módulos y sistemas, y en los círculos exteriores los fabricantes de piezas y componentes.
En el presente informe, el objetivo consiste en conocer las relaciones de aprovisionamiento existentes entre las empresas que integran la industria del automóvil, circunscribiendo el análisis a Castilla y León, y más concretamente haciendo referencia a la relación entre la industria del automóvil regional, con las empresas de aprovisionamiento que se encuentran ubicadas fuera del territorio castellano y leonés.

Vehicle assembly: Assembly is the main focus for these enterprises, meaning that the final product is achieved once the systems, models, pieces and components that their suppliers provide are assembled or mounted.
Unit and system assembly: These enterprises focus on assembling different units or equipment for automotive manufacturers. They obtain units from the pieces and components given to them by their suppliers.
These businesses generally provide things to the parent company in sequential deliveries or "in the nick of time". Usually, they are located close to the automotive manufacturer that is likely their only client.
Piece, component, machinery, and installation supply: A very important group in the automotive business as they manufacture the vehicle’s pieces and components. This is done directly as a manufacturing provider, or indirectly as a component and unit assembly supplier.
There is another group of companies dedicated to providing the necessary installation elements for vehicle or equipment manufacturing, as opposed to providing actual components and units to manufacture the vehicle.
The following graphic, which resembles a spider web, represents the automotive industry. Vehicle assembly is in the center, operators of units and systems are around the center, and the manufacturers of pieces and components are in the outer circle.
The objective of this report is to recognize the relationship between the existing supplies in the businesses that make up the automotive industry. This report will circumscribe the analysis of the Castile and León region and more concretely refer to the connection between the regional automotive industry and supply businesses that are located outside of the Castile and León territory.

I grew up in a bilingual household speaking both English and Spanish. After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 2018, I signed up to volunteer as a English to Spanish translator for a local non-profit organization. What started off as a way to get involved in the community ended up igniting my love for translation.
As a freelancer, I specialize in marketing, media, and communication translations. I have worked in marketing, communication and sales since 2017 through different jobs and internships. This has allowed me to gain knowledge on the terminology used in the sector, as well as the ability to develop skills in research, written communication, and campaigns. I have also developed strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
When I am not freelancing, I continue to volunteer my services as a translator in order to help the community and further develop my skills. I also enjoy reading books and articles in both of my native languages.
