I am a 29-year-old Italian translator.
I graduated in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation in 2009, with English and Spanish as translation languages.
In 2011, I started a Master in Translation in the University of Seville, Spain. Classes were taught in Spanish, and my language pair was Spanish-Italian and vice versa.
In early 2013, I obtained my degree and, in November, I started an online Master in Audiovisual Translation. Language pairs were English to Italian and Spanish to Italian. I completed this Master in September 2015, with a final grade of 9/10.
I am an Associate member of ITI (Institute of Translation and Interpreting) and a member of SELM (Sociedad Española de Lenguas Modernas).
As for my working experience, I started working as audiovisual translator in summer 2009, for Milano Film Festival. I've been collaborating with them for five years.
In 2014, I started collaborating with a London based translation agency, Lti, as audiovisual translator. I translate and subtitle movies, mainly for DVDs.
Early in 2015, I started a collaboration with another London based translation agency, Sub-Ti, as audiovisual translator. I translate and subtitle movies, mainly for festivals.
I lived in London for almost one year and I came back to Italy in June 2015. When living there, I also had the chance to work as localisation QA tester for videogames (mainly Nintendo videogames). The job was focused on finding linguistic mistakes and correcting them, or proposing to the translators an alternative to their translations, in order to make the sentence stilistically better.
In August 2015, I started collaborating with a third agency, Studio Asci. The job included translation (English to Italian), subtitling and spotting for movies, TV series, documentaries and cartoon series for hearing impaired.
In 2016, I started a collaboration with two more agencies.
With one of them I translated and subtitled a cartoon series from Amazon Studios, for hearing impaired.
With the other one I generally create Italian subtitles for hearing impaired for a series of different TV programmes, and, sometimes, I translate business videos or short movies.
I always look for new agencies or clients to collaborate with.
Please, don't hesitate to contact me, if you have any questions about me and my working experience.
Looking forward to hearing from you, I send you my best regards.
