Source text - English IIn 2000, interleukin-23 (IL-23) was described as a new member of the IL-12 family (refer to Oppmann B, 2000).
IL-23 is also produced by activated antigen presenting cells and is comprised of the IL-12/23p40 protein covalently linked to a 19kDa protein designated p19.
In contrast to TNFα, IL-12 and IL-23 are secreted cytokines only and do not exist as transmembrane proteins.
The p40 protein subunit can be secreted as a monomer, but has not been described to have agonist bioactivity.
In contrast, the p35 or p19 subunits are not secreted as monomers under physiological conditions. Rather, p35 and p19 are covalently linked to p40 intracellularly and the protein complexes are secreted as bioactive heterodimeric cytokines.
In mouse systems, the p40 subunit has been reported to also exist as a secreted homodimer with some reports of agonist bioactivity (refer to Cooper AM, 2007).
The existence of human p40 homodimers has not been confirmed and can only be demonstrated in vitro in cell lines transgenically transfected with the p40 gene.
Human p40 homodimers are not detectable in normal IL-12 producing human monocytes (refer to Carra G, 2000).
Therefore, IL-12 and IL-23 are the only bioactive p40 containing human cytokines described to date.
As illustrated in Figure 1, IL-12 and IL-23 mediate cellular activity through binding to 2 chain receptor complexes expressed on the surface of CD4+ T cells or natural killer (NK) cells.
The IL-12 receptor beta-1 (IL-12Rβ1) receptor chain binds to the common p40 subunit of IL-12 and IL-23, providing the primary binding interaction between IL-12 and IL-23 and their receptor complexes.

2.3.1 Working in a multiple server environment
XXX can support multiple servers (limit four). If your XXX has this type of configuration, the server name that your client station is connected to is indicated in the upper-left corner of the Summary Bar next to your workstation and user ID.
You can manage servers on your client station by adding or removing a server, or by changing the default server (the server XXX connects to on start-up).
You can also switch your client station to another server. There are two scenarios for why you may want to do this:
The server you are connected to fails and you want to switch to a duplicate project for your site in order to continue working (backup solution).
You want to connect to another project. For example, the server you are connected to is for fire discipline only, and you want to connect to an intrusion discipline server.
Managing servers
You have more than one server configured for your XXX.
You want to add or remove one or more servers, or to change the default server.
1. Select Menu > Server Connection > Manage Servers.
The Servers List dialog box appears.
2. Select the server in the list you want to add/remove/modify to highlight, and click the appropriate button.
The server you selected is added/removed/modified.
Note: You modify a server by changing it to the default server.
3. Repeat step 2 to continue to manage servers.
4. Click Close when finished.
The Servers List is updated.
Switching servers
You have more than one server configured for your client station and for your username/domain.
You want to switch your client station to another server.
1. Select Menu > Server Connection >Switch Servers.
The list of available servers appears.
Note 1: The active server is indicated in parentheses.
Note 2: The default server is indicated by a check mark.
Note 3: Servers not available appear dimmed.
2. Select the server you want to switch to.
A confirmation dialog box appears.
3. Click Yes.
XXX stops on your client station, and starts on the selected server. This may take a few minutes depending on the configuration of the selected server.

2.3.1 Cómo trabajar en un ambiente de servidores múltiples
La XXX puede soportar hasta cuatro servidores. Si su XXX está configurada para ello, el nombre del servidor al cual su estación cliente está conectada se indicará en la esquina superior izquierda de la barra de Resumen, al lado del área de trabajo y de la identificación del usuario.
Usted puede gestionar los servidores en su estación de cliente añadiendo o quitando un servidor, o cambiando el servidor por defecto (el servidor XXX se conecta al inicio).
También puede cambiar su estación cliente a otro servidor. Existen dos escenarios posibles por los cuales usted podría hacer esto:
El servidor al cual está conectado falla y usted quiere cambiar a un proyecto duplicado de su sitio para continuar trabajando (solución de respaldo).
Usted desea conectarse a otro proyecto. Por ejemplo, el servidor al cual está conectado es sólo para disciplina de incendios y usted quiere conectarse a un servidor de disciplina de intrusión.
Cómo gestionar los servidores
Si tiene más de un servidor configurado para su XXX.
Si desea añadir o quitar uno o más servidores, o cambiar el servidor por defecto:
1. Seleccione Menu > Server Connection > Manage Servers.
El cuadro de diálogo Servers List aparece.
2. Seleccione en la lista el servidor que quiere añadir/quitar/modificar y pulse el botón apropiado.
El servidor que ha seleccionado es añadido/quitado/modificado.
Nota: El servidor es modificado cuando se cambia a servidor por defecto.
3. Repita el paso 2 para continuar gestionando los servidores.
4. Haga clic en Close cuando termine.
La Lista de Servidores ha sido actualizada.
Cómo cambiar de servidor
Si tiene más de un servidor configurado para su estación cliente y para su nombre de usuario/dominio,
Si quiere cambiar su estación de cliente a otro servidor:
1. Seleccione Menu > Server Connection >Switch Servers.
La lista de servidores disponibles aparece.
Nota 1: El servidor activo se indica entre paréntesis
Nota 2: El servidor por defecto se indica con un signo de verificación.
Nota 3: Los servidores que no están disponibles aparecen en gris.
2. Seleccione el servidor al cual quiere cambiarse.
Un cuadro de diálogo de confirmación aparece.
3. Haga clic en Yes.
La XXX se detiene en la estación cliente, y se inicia en el servidor seleccionado. Esto puede tomar algunos minutos, dependiendo de la configuración del servidor seleccionado.

I am a Spanish native translator with experience in medical, technical and general translation. I translate from both English and French into Spanish. I graduated from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), where I presented my graduate thesis on journalistic translation. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation (“Licenciada en Traducción”, equivalent to 5 years or further studies after high school). I was born in Venezuela, but I currently live in France, where I have also studied Language Didactics.
I began my career as a freelance translator a year before getting my Translation Degree, when I started translating several documents for pharmaceutical products (mainly, clinical trials).
