University professor and noted translator Saeed Firouzabadi believes that publishers are blamed for the publication of repeated translations and in order to prevent parallel works a center should be established for the translators.
IBNA: Talking about the issue, Saeed Firouzabadi said:” Nowadays the book market is full of bestsellers’ repeated translations. Although retranslating classic works isn’t a blunder- and sometimes it is even useful for translators, publishers and the book market as well since precious and classic books should be translated into Persian once in every few years- but parallel works defect the works of some translators and publishers.”

He added:” In the field of parallel translations, the publishers are more to be blamed than the translators and financial and economical issues create such troubles. When a book becomes a bestseller in the Iranian book market or the western countries, the publishers ask the translators to render the books; while when a book is a bestseller it isn’t necessary a precious one.” More.
