I love languages. I grew up with them, studied them, read in them. They
occupy much of my mental space and I use them in my work on a daily basis. I
have fun with words, play with them, enjoy making connections and trying out
new languages. I write – both professionally, and as a hobby. I make a living
out of improving other people’s writing. Whether I come to it as an editor or a translator, as a writer or a teacher,
language is my little box of marvels, my highly-prized obsession. And – so I
was told – I am rather good at it too.

My diverse portfolio as editor and translator has taught me the importance of accuracy, correctness, flexibility, and creativity in all contexts of language use. I am a punctilious editor and proofreader, having edited - and occasionally translated - academic and research work from Romanian into English in a variety of fields, from psychology, international relations, political science, military strategy, engineering and medicine to all domains in the arts, culture and media more generally. As a translator, my main specialisms are Law (English and EU), Media and Medicine.
